Created by Illinois state statute to control and manage the pension fund of the Hampshire Police Department, the Village of Hampshire Police Pension Fund was established May 1, 2012. The fund is overseen by a board consisting of up to five members whose duties include investing funds, enforcing contributions, keeping records of the board's meetings and other duties related to managing the pension fund.
